Christ Church Blacklands Parent & Toddler Group

Twenty two children in party hats, mums laden with party food of every description, balloons at the ready, the lighted Christmas Tree and helpers on stand-by, The scene was set for our Christmas party.

This year our celebrations included the Christmas story. A parcel arrived by Special Delivery. Wow! What was inside? Could we guess? We opened it up. Inside a baby Doll reminded us of the real Christmas Story, Mary visited by an Angel, the journey to Bethlehem with Joseph, the baby born in a stable and the final placing of the baby Jesus in the Manger (literally thrown in by James!) Does it matter?, no I don’t think so. We sang ‘Away in a manger’ together.

Father Christmas was not forgotten. He arrived bearing a sack of toys and as each child’s name was called the presents were handed out. It was interesting to see the different reactions of the children. Fun was had by all.

We thank ALL those who have helped during 2012 and contributed to the running of P & T. Please pray for our group as we meet weekly on Thursday mornings. Thank you.
