Our Parish Communion services are on the first, second, fourth and if there is one, the fifth Sunday of every month, with allowances for major festivals, such as Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. The service is based on the Common Worship Order One, with Hymns and seasonal material. The usual starting time is 10:30 a.m., but this may be varied for special occasions, so please check the Service Calendar in the current month newsletter pages, or refer to our Events section on the Church Near You web-site.
The service lasts usually for about an hour. The Sunday School sometimes join us for the end of the service, coming in from the Parish Hall during the distribution of the Bread and Wine, to receive a blessing or take communion with us, if confirmed.
After the service tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits and sometimes cakes and home-baked goodies are at the back of the Church, in the Baptistery, where we gather to socialise and chat. It is a good time to catch any of the Church Officers and Ministry Team with any questions or requests. There is a box for posting Prayer Requests, for the Prayer Chain or for the mid-week service intercessions, on the table by the service and hymn book shelves.
