Parish Group News

For the third year running the Parish Group were blessed with glorious weather for their annual outing.

Leaving the church mid-morning our first stop was at Michelham Priory where members and guests were able to walk through the beautiful gardens, tour the house or enjoy refreshments in the open air. With the weather being so kind the moat walks were a popular choice.

The second visit was to Berwick where we were able to visit the village church made famous by its walls being decorated with amazing paintings by the Bloomsbury group. Whilst in Berwick we also had the opportunity of liquid refreshments as we sat in the garden of the Cricketers Inn.

Our final stop was at the Moorings, the “Inn on the Beach” at Pevensey Bay where we enjoyed a sumptuous 3 course meal in delightful surroundings before returning to Hastings.

Altogether a wonderful day out for the final meeting of our 2011 / 2012 Programme.

The next meeting will be the AGM in September as we start our new session for 2012 /2013 for which a full programme has already been arranged.
