Mustard Seed Shoebox Appeal

A big thank you to everyone for their contributions to our annual shoebox appeal. The appeal ends on 24th November. More items are needed including shoeboxes. It would be great if we could donate over a hundred boxes for the first time ever.

Thank you again,

Jean.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?

Hi All

Sorry it’s been a while with regards to the newsletter but I managed to dislocate and fracture my shoulder and it’s been a very long, painful and slow healing process!! Still onwards and upwards.

Can you believe that the wonderful project ‘Love in a Box’ is nearly upon us again!!.

The pastors have been in constant contact and the planning is nearly complete for all the children to receive their gift of love.

This project is so special, so needed and valued in the Ukraine and Moldova. I cannot express the gratitude I feel to each and every person who is kind enough to take part.

Each gift which is given to the children is given with your love. Each and every child feels that love and is very grateful for the love and care that is shown to them through this project.

The children we send to do not have much in the way of material things but they are safe in the knowledge that they are thought of at Christmas and that means so much to them.

This is a special year for Mustard Seed as we have celebrated 20 years of showing our love in action and it has been a real pleasure representing all the schools, churches, businesses, organisations and individuals who have improved the lives of disadvantaged children.

Thank you to all who have returned their leaflet request slip you should have had your pick up date by now, if you haven’t please let Mike know.

If anyone has still not sent back their slip there is still time to take part. Please call Mike in the office and he will arrange it all for you.

I hope, with your help, to make this the best year ever for the children. We hope to see many happy, laughing, excited children opening their gift and see that wonderful sight of smiles spreading across their faces as they see what they have received for Christmas.

Calling all volunteers

To all our wonderful volunteers who come to our warehouse to collect, sort and pack all the gifts, please could you come from the 6th November.

Thanks. God Bless, Lisa.
