Welcome to Christ Church, Blacklands & St. Andrew, Laton Road, Hastings

Some of you may have noticed that the flag had not flown from the church for some while, because of a broken rope and pulley block. Some of the Hilda and John Downing Memorial Fund was used to mend and re-new this. Thanks are due to Stuart Farquhar (ringer) and his son Alistair for kindly obtaining the parts and doing the repair. Without their help it would have been considerably more expensive, as the alternative of getting someone to go all that way up the tower to do the job would have been difficult to say the least.

And also thank you to Jean Wilson for arranging to have the graffiti removed from the front doors.
